Autobiography
My name is Lillian Ross I was born October
7, 1964 in Chicago IL. I am the eighth child out; of eighteen children. As a
young child I always looked up to my older brothers and sisters, I wanted to
talk, and act like them all the times. I just had to learn how to be myself. And
find a place that I can call my own in this world. The first day of high school
changed my life. I was able to learn how to be myself for the first time, and
not be in my brothers or sisters shadow. Ms. Wills helped me identify what I
wanted to be when I grew up. She saw that I had a love for children the way I
interact with the children. Ms. Wills set up for me to go to a day-care and help
out in the classroom. And my love grew more and more by the day. As the months
went by I asked Ms. Wills what I needed to do to get in the professional world
of child development. She told me that I needed to take some course in child
development to become a preschool teacher. As the years passed when I finished
high school and went to college and began to take the course I needed to be a
teacher. I am now working on my child development Practicum in Preschool
Education at Harold Washington College. I feel I owe it all to Ms. Wills she
help me find my way in this professional world of educating young children. Yes
I can said she planted the seed and help it grow. This was a dream I had an it
come to life for me.
